Using PNN in the
Classroom

A PNN Class News Page allows students to cover what happens in
their academic lives, helping them to develop tolerance, community
and understanding. As an educator, you benefit by gaining a deeper
understanding of your students as unique individuals. What follows
is a basic outline of how to impliment a PNN Class News Page.

Step 1. Ask students what topics interest them:
Make a list of the topics they come up with and catagorize those
topics:

Sports

News

Art and Entertainment

Lifestyle

Politics

Step 2. Students sign up to cover topics:
Many of your students will be interested in writing, photography
and videography. PNN caters to these interests. Students can easily
write, photograph and video their topics. At least one student in
the classroom will be the Editor. They will have the responsibility
of putting student content on the PNN Class News Page.

Step 3. Assign the Biography:
Have students write a 1/2 page biography and email it to the
Editor.

What do they hope to accomplish

What is their experience and what are their interests

Who do they admire

What do they want for the future

Step 4. Set a deadline:
The deadline can be weekly, monthly or bi-monthly. By this date
students must submit their pictures, stories and video to the
Editor. The editor then puts the content on the PNN Class News
Page.

Step 5. Grade content from any online computer.
